Manor Park Coach Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Manor Park Head Coach Jane Poynder was presented with the inaugural LTA award for a lifetime achievement in tennis coaching. Jane received the award at the ATP World Tour Finals held at the O2 Arena in London.

Junior County Closed Squash Championship

 

Three young people from Manor Park Squash & Racketball Club in Malvern all celebrated success at the Worcestershire Junior Squash County Closed in Stourbridge last month. All finished runners up in their age categories competing with the very best juniors in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Anna Young (pictured centre), the previous under 15 and 17 Worcestershire girls champion, came runner up in the under 17 girls category while Alice Wilson (left) and Dom Bayley (right) came runners up in under 15 girls and under 13 boys categories.

Manor Park Squash Club in Albert Road North has a thriving junior squash section from complete beginners to those regularly playing at county and regional level. Dom Bayley and Anna Young are ranked in the top 150 juniors in England, Anna reaching a high of 6 in England in the under fifteen girls ranking.

New members are welcome from juniors of all ages and abilities to come and experience the game of squash in a fun environment every Sunday evening from 6pm to 7:30pm, consisting of fun games, fitness workouts and skills training. Squash and Racketball is a great way to get fit, meet new people, and have fun.
